Master Stylist, Haircutting Specialist
Lo originally peaked an interest in the art of hair through her time at The Academy of Arts University in her hometown of San Francisco where she studied sculpture. This education inspired her to become a cutting specialist after drawing parallels between sculpture, the shape of hair, and how it relates to client bone structure and facial shape. Lo graduated with her cosmetology license from The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology school in 2011 and started immediately on her advanced education path in haircutting specialty.
Since that time, Lo has worked in some of the nation’s top salons, most recently Keith Kristofer in Austin, Texas, where she also acted as Lead Educator. With a background in most cutting systems, including Paul Mitchell, Vidal Sassoon, and Tony and Guy, Lo has become a curl and texture Specialist with DevaCurl training, and achieved title as a Goldwell Master Stylist in 2018. Lo also holds multiple New York Fashion Week Credits working with EVO for TOME, and JAWARA for a Vogue video shoot where she styled celebrities the likes of Chrissy Teigen and Ashley Graham.
For Lo, there is never a bad day at work. She truly believes stylists have the best job in the world. With a naturally warm, calming demeanor, and a passion for cultivating confidence, she loves building client relationships, and believes her client’s salon experience is a form of therapy.
There is no texture that makes Lo nervous. When you’ve had as much education, specialized training, and experience as she has, it’s easy to confidently, thoughtfully advise clients—new and returning—on the best style for them.
Lo is married to her lovely husband Carl, and acts as co-parent to their pup, Joe. She spends her free time seeing and listening to as much music as possible, travelling near and far to see local and national bands with friends around the country. An avid runner having recently completed the Austin half marathon and San Francisco full marathon, Lo is currently in training for two other races. She views running as therapy, keeping her in touch with nature and her environment.
Lo is thrilled to have found her new home at ROAR! She warmly invites you to her chair and looks forward to redefining what’s possible for your personal style.
